PALIMPSEST
PALIMPSEST is a compact, deterministic tactical roguelike played on a living grid.
The rune beneath your feet defines your attack: step onto a Blade to cut, a Hammer to crush a cluster, a Longbow to fire down a lane, or a Current to steal a free action. Positioning is both movement and deckbuilding.
Collect stars to restore adaptive health larger recoveries follow heavier damage and expand the page from 4×4 to 7×7. Every star opens a forge rail without stopping the action. Imprint a new rune, upgrade an existing one, reroll the offer, or skip
it and keep moving. Enemy attacks are telegraphed in red before they land. Read overlapping danger patterns, exploit the floor, and fight through twelve enemy types. The simulation refuses to commit an unavoidable ranged pattern, so survival always comes down to the choices on the page.
