SOLVENT: Compound Interest
SOLVENT: Compound Interest is an active incremental strategy game about building a fragile flow economy one tile at a time.
Place Springs, Channels, Splitters, Compounders, and Reservoirs on a grid, then watch your drips travel through the system. Every route matters: clean lines grow steady value, Splitters divide your flow, Compounders multiply it, and overheated machines can vent away your profits if you push too hard.
Between runs, spend earned Insight on Blueprints, take on Ventures, survive seasonal pressure, and keep your balance sheet from collapsing under debt. A good machine does not just make more drip. It survives long enough to pay for itself.
This prototype includes:
- Grid based drip routing
- Springs, Channels, Splitters, Compounders, and Reservoirs
- Incremental growth through compound flow
- Heat and venting pressure
- Debt, liquidation, and insolvency pressure
- Venture goals and unlocks
- Blueprint upgrades and persistent progress
- Desktop and web-playable Odin/Karl2D build
Build the route. Grow the reservoir. Compound the drip. Keep the books solvent.

I don't think I understand the game. If we just need to transfer water from the begining to the end, why do we need Splitters?
Splitters become useful when you want to divide one stream between multiple routes or Compounders, spreading the flow instead of sending everything through one machine. This can help you increase value while managing heat and venting.
No clue what the game is about. Just stack L4 springs facing the reservoir and you're done...
Oh, so there are efficiency stats that you have to fill or something. Completely confusing.
and the game died on fog bank.
Thank you for the feedback. On it!
Thanks for the feedback. I’m on it!
it's very clean looking and i like these kinds of puzzle games, but a tutorial or explanation is necessary. looking forward to seeing how it develops!
When you click the "enter new run" button it places a pipe where you clicked. If you accidentally liquidate during the first level and start a new run you are softlocked since you end up with 1 pipe short from the reservoir.
Thank you for your feedback. I’m already working on fixing it.
game looks interesting but i have no idea what’s going on., i just make more springs and pipe them to the reservoir...
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll update it soon and make it clearer.
Can you write like a guide and tutorial sort of thing?
Yes, I’m going to add it to the next devlog. I can also add it to the game.
Parts need tooltips to explain what they're actually supposed to do
Thank you for your feedback. I’ll address it in the upcoming update.
