Hacksweeper is a tight cyberpunk twist on Minesweeper.

Reveal the grid, read adjacency totals to spot ICE, fight for XP and score, use a small inventory of hacks, and survive long enough to take down the REAPER. Optional mutators crank the risk and your score multiplier.

Features:

  • Cyberpunk Minesweeper combat: numbers show the sum of adjacent ICE tiers (higher tier = more damage).
  • Tight run structure: fight ICE for XP, level up to fully heal, and survive to defeat the REAPER.
  • Loot driven decisions: items like Patch, Exploit, RootKey, and Zip change your route and risk profile.
  • Procedural audio soundscape: gritty, generative SFX and ambient bed built in Web Audio.
  • Mutators for hardcore play: stack optional modifiers to warp the rules and boost score multipliers.

Nice new feature on the unrevealed tile.

Although.. the worst case scenario seems to be wildly incorrect..
For example. This scenario here is clearly a 4

and I'm not sure I'm supposed to be able to tell how many ice are adjacent before I reveal..?

Thanks for pointing it out. I’m going to refine it overall, and I may update it to display only the possible damage. I really appreciate your help.

Interesting but almost impossible to see the revealed nodes..

After a few attempts
> Rootkey map is a trap. It removed anything revealed from being able to be picked up and just kills your run.

> You can fight up to +5 higher than your current HP if it allows a level up. not sure if this is intended.

> Starter tile gives literally no bonuses to starting off outside of seeming slightly lower spawns but it didn't seem like it's any easier from the other corner

If testing goes well, there will be an update tomorrow morning

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll work on improving it overall.
